How do the First-Steps live sessions work, and is it okay to miss them?

Yes, it really is fine to miss them. The First-Steps course includes live sessions on Zoom, a mix of teaching and live journeying. Attending live is optional: every session is recorded and the recording is usually on the website within 24 hours, and more than half of our students never attend live. If you do come, you need your camera on throughout and a private, quiet space.

Is it really okay to miss the First-Steps live sessions? #

Yes, completely. You can miss some of them, or all of them. More than half of our students never attend live, and the feedback we get is that doing the courses through the recordings works well for them. Some live in time zones that make the sessions difficult; some are private, introverted, or uncomfortable on camera. All of that is fine: attending is not needed to complete a course.

Are the First-Steps live sessions recorded? #

Yes. The time in the main group is recorded and the recording is put on the website, usually within 24 hours.

What happens in a live session? #

A mix of teaching and live journeying.

What do I need, and what are the requirements? #

If you want to attend live, you will need: – a device with a camera, speakers and a microphone, and a decent internet connection; – Zoom installed on your device; – your camera on at all times, and to be present and clearly visible on screen; – to be somewhere private (no one else in the room), quiet and free of distractions.

Anyone who does not meet these will be removed from the session, as will anyone who is intoxicated, inappropriately dressed or disruptive.
