What is the difference between the Next-Steps and Further-Steps courses?

They are the second and third levels of the training. The Next-Steps courses build a shamanic practice that is deeply rooted and grounded; the Further-Steps courses are our advanced courses, which take that practice to new levels across a wide range of subjects. They are taken in order, after the First-Steps course.

How are the courses arranged? #

In levels, one after another. The First-Steps course is the starting point and the prerequisite for everything else. The Next-Steps courses come next, and the Further-Steps courses after that. For those who want to work with others professionally, there is also our Shamanic Practitioner training. Experience has taught us that it never works for people to skip a level.

What are the Next-Steps courses? #

Courses that develop a shamanic practice that is deeply rooted and grounded. You can take them in any order, and some have open registration, so you can start them at any time once you have completed First-Steps. Examples are Exploring the Lower-WorldLower-World. The realm of Mother Earth: pure, unspoilt, wild nature, with no technology and no agriculture. Home of the Peoples and of our own Soul, and completely safe: feeling threatened in a journey is a reliable sign of not having reached it. Read the full answer and Animal, Plant, Stone.

What are the Further-Steps courses? #

Our advanced courses. They continue the exploration of Therapeutic Shamanism over a rich range of subjects, such as the Upper-WorldUpper-World. The realm of Father Sky and of Spirit: spacious, rarefied and clear, layered in tiers, offering not escape but perspective. Not better than the Lower-World: we ascend rooted, and bring the gifts back down. Read the full answer, the Wheel of Life, death and dying, and healing the past. To join one, you need to have completed First-Steps and to be at least some way into a Next-Steps course.

Where can I see which courses are running? #

On the courses page, which lists the courses with dates and those you can join at any time.
