What does wétiko mean?

Wétiko is the parasitic, cannibalistic thought-form of Taker culture: it drives its host to consume, dominate and set itself above nature, and it infects all of us to some degree. The word comes from the Algonquian peoples of North America, and reached Therapeutic Shamanism through the writers Jack Forbes and Paul Levy.
