What is the journey planner, and how do I use it?

The journey planner, called the Journey Tool in the website’s menu, is where students find shamanic journeys and other practices from their courses, each with full instructions. It is only available to students signed up for our courses. We are widening it to hold the practices from each course, and will probably rename it the Practices Library.

What is the journey planner for? #

To help you keep up your practice. It began mainly as a guide to shamanic journeys. We are now widening it into a library of the practices taught on each course, so that you can find a practice you have been taught, and its steps, in one place. It is still being built, so some courses’ practices are not in it yet.

How do I use it? #

Sign in, and choose “Journey Tool” from the website’s menu. Then: – pick a topic from the list of topics; – choose a journey or practice from the list that appears; – read the details, and if it is something that grabs you, do it by following the instructions.

If it does not appeal, go back and choose another, or pick a different topic. At the bottom of the list of topics you can choose whether to see journeys or other practices (such as mindfulness or metta).

Why is it changing its name? #

Because it is no longer only about journeys. As it grows to include every kind of practice from the courses, a name like the Practices Library will describe it better. The new name has not been settled yet.
